MACAPÁ, BRAZIL - July 20-29, 2022

MEAP was founded in 1986 in Santos by a missionary couple, pastor Marcio and Damaris Garcia. It is an interdenominational mission that works with fishermen spread throughout the 8000 km of Brazilian coast and the Amazon basin. After years of praying and planning, MEAP started in Amapá on January, 2006. The base mission was established with the coming of pastor Custódio and his family who had served the Lord for ten years on the Solimões River working with riverside communities and the Ticuna indigenous people. The main goal of MEAP is to spread the gospel of Christ to the artisan fishermen of the Brazilian coast and the Amazon basin. The project works in partnership with various ministries bringing hope to areas difficult to access. It is also part of their mission to plant churches and develop sustainable social projects, since the local people live in extreme poverty.
