Ebola Response
Ebola Response
DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO
The ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has become even more urgent as communities now face a growing Ebola outbreak alongside continued instability and displacement in the east.
Communities in and around Goma and Bukavu are already under immense strain, with limited access to healthcare and humanitarian support. Through Covenant World Relief and Development (CWRD) and our trusted local partner AGIR, we are preparing to respond with prevention efforts, public health education, protective supplies, and support for vulnerable families. Local churches and community leaders continue serving with courage and compassion in the midst of crisis.
We are also closely monitoring the situation in northwestern DRC, alongside Paul Carlson Partnership and the Covenant Church of Congo (CEUM). While no cases have been reported in the communities they serve, healthcare systems and local leaders remain on high alert and are following established prevention and response protocols.
Your gift to the International Disaster Response Fund helps equip trusted local partners to respond quickly and effectively in moments of urgent need.
