Ushauri Initiative - Youth Mentorship

The Ushauri Initiative is a pilot youth mentorship program for the Evangelical Covenant Church of Kenya (ECCK). The Ushauri Initiative seeks to empower youth with various life skills and hopes to make a difference of significance in the lives of all participants, their families, and their communities.
The Ushauri Initiative will hold two week-long training sessions with approximately 30 mentors from all ECCK churches and fellowships in Kenya. Once the mentors have been sufficiently trained, they will be dispatched to their various churches and fellowships to implement the program with the youths at each location. Those involved with writing the curriculum for this program are very excited about the potential it holds to make life-altering differences in the lives of all involved, and their communities. The program will cover a wide range of topics that will equip those involved with the tools necessary to make good decisions, and make positive changes in their lives.
